We'll digitise loose or individual photos that are packed in envelopes, bags or boxes.
Where photos have glue or sticky tape we may remove this before scanning so as to protect other photos and our equipment.
Photos in albums
We will digitise photos in albums. If the album and photos are in good condition we may remove the photos before scanning. If the photos are attached and cannot be easily removed without damaging them we will scan them in the album.
We can digitise most images mounted in frames. If possible we will remove the image form the frame. However if the image is not removable we can use a number of effective techniques to digitise the image in the frame.
All digitising of images in frames will be charged on a case by case basis reflecting the time required and will be detailed in the quote.
Barcodes and filenames
As soon as we receive your materials we will barcode them with a unique number so we can track them each step of the way. All packages of photos or albums will have their own barcode. Once digitised your files will be named with the same barcode so you can easily match them to the original package or album. Of course, once uploaded you are free to rename, label, tag and add comments as you wish.
